Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 nsfas check and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and my nsfas not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply nsfas login now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
